The Fridge
In most homes today, having a refrigerator or fridge is a basic need. If you enter a friend’s home, you will be able to notice that at least one fridge can be found inside his home and it is usually located in the kitchen. In other homes, you can even find more than one fridge because some owners are capable of putting personal fridges in every room of the house. Putting a fridge in every room of the house is not common because it is very impractical due to the high cost incurred in operating a fridge in terms of electric consumption.
The main purpose of a fridge is to store food and keep it fresh for a long time. A fridge is very useful for foods that can easily get spoiled when stored under ambient room temperature. Fruits, vegetables, meat products and fish are examples of food that requires being stored in a fridge to lengthen shelf life.
Though the fridge may be proven very helpful inside the home, it is important to take consideration of its operating cost. When the fridge is not in use, you should clean it and turn it off. As much as possible, make sure that the door of the fridge is always closed so that the cold air will not escape from it. Lastly, your fridge should be regularly checked because any form of malfunction can mean added cost for its use.
